Nutrition Counselling with Karri Wilson
One of the key aspects of healing your relationship with food and body is learning to question — and ultimately break down — the rigid ideas you’ve held about how you should eat.
Most people come into recovery feeling confused, overwhelmed, and stuck. They’ve absorbed years of mixed messages about food from doctors, diet culture, family, social media — and are often left feeling anxious or afraid when it comes to making food choices.
On top of that, many people experience real digestive issues. Some of these come from the eating disorder itself — restrictive eating, bingeing, purging — but for many, the story started earlier. Maybe you had gut symptoms long before food became a problem, and trying to “eat healthier” to feel better only made things worse. Fear and discomfort can start to shape your entire relationship with food: what you eat, when you eat, how much, or whether you eat at all.
Nutritional counselling offers a space to sort through that. It’s not about giving you another set of rules — it’s about offering structure, support, and guidance that’s specific to your needs, so you can start to feel more at ease with food again. We work together to understand your history, your symptoms, and your needs — and move toward eating in a way that feels more steady, more possible, and more connected to you.
